Spot Terrorism
The Newest Initiative by the Department
of Homeland Security
The Department of Homeland Security is rolling-out an Anti-Terrorism
program next week, using hockey fans to report suspected terrorist
activity. While the details are a bit sketchy, I feel that all
Americans should practice vigilance and report suspicious activity
and anti-American sentiment whenever they see it. Selecting a sports
demographic sends the wrong message to people who might be sitting
on the fence with information, which may or may not be important. If
they were to pick a sports demographic, why not baseball? I'm not
personally a baseball fan, but hasn't it always been heralded as the
all-American sport? If I were to recruit a group of people to train
in counter-terrorism, I would select the concealed weapons permit
holders; people who have already passed stringent background checks,
and are licensed to carry firearms. I would call them
American Defenders and
set-up a reverse 911 system in order to activate them, whenever an
act of terror is suspected or perpetrated on American soil. I would
also bring in Israel's
Mossad to train
them in spotting Islamic Extremists. And of course I would seal the
border and repel the illegal alien drug cartels, whose numbers are
in the tens of thousands, with a footprint of at least one
county-deep, along sections of the U.S. border. Michael Michola
